For the conclusion to the beginning fantasy story TMT ROTGK, I created several twists and turns both in characters and presumed finale ideas to create this unexpected ending to this epic opening storyarc to The Middle Times fantasy series.

Traveling underground through an icy tunnel system into an unknown mysterious realm seeking out the Gavel of Elrahŏn, our Grenelf family and friends stumble into a land of ice. According to dwarven traveling companion Sir Timlikâdam, it be the very lands of the hairy horned monsters from his childhood tales. Following closely behind the Grenelf family and friends in the ice tunnels, a garrison of goblins sent by the Goblin King Nifere pursues them relentlessly. Back within their home lands of the west, Lord Eltör of Lavéon murders his ruling brother King Edrain and seizes the throne of the Lavéon kingdom for launching an invasion against neighboring Níhora. Unknown to Eltör, the diabolical Nifere wishes also to claim the lands of Níhora. The two evils clash and only one of the evil leaders shall survive, but not by the actions of the other. Within the ice lands, the quest for the Gavel of Elrahŏn becomes a task of survival as hidden treacheries from the past explode changing the course of destiny. The race to save the westerly lands against something much worse than the wrath of the Lord of Darkness and Shadow emerges unleashing an ultimate evil force from the depths of the underwolde. Hold onto your bows and axes, this action-packed concluding story for the two part epic may only be the beginning.

BOOK PREVIEW
Lanolas busily travels forward away from the others when shockingly unexpected screams of horror pierce the very core of his body. The chaos ensuing inside the chamber he just left sounds frantic and desperate. Lanolas races back to the turmoil with fearful emotions approaching the archway exit of the hearth chamber. Ahead in the dimly lit chamber, he views a flurry of activity occurring inside the room he just departed. Reaching the archway, he stops dead in his tracks completely paralyzed by the visions occurring inside. The terrorizing events unfolding inside are unbelievable. Watching while holding his terrified limp body up using the archway, Lanolas watches Timlikâdam sail through the air across the room and hit the wall under the round opening entrance to the chamber on the other side. Other screams from his siblings and shrills of humming sounds from the Pixy cry forth from all areas of the chamber as he shockingly watches Dondar take a blow in midair flight by an unknown, unseen assailant while attempting to help Timlikâdam. Horridly, Lanolas watches the unconscious Dondar lift off the ground as if by magic and suddenly sail across the chamber directly in front of him while landing against the back wall. Confused and desperate to help, Lanolas darts into the chamber room armed with his longbow. Confusingly he finds Lanolee and Elya running around from something terrorizing them. Desperately he cannot see what follows them. He stares towards the warming blue light from the hearth as his siblings run for their life screaming for help. Everything in the room appears normal. The hearth, the statuette…everything is exactly as he last viewed them. Scared and confused, Lanolas quickly kneels down to the floor as close as possible. Holding his bow tightly he studies his siblings and notices they never take their attention away from the back wall of the chamber. He is not sure they are aware of his presence. Curiously, he helplessly aims his bow around the room looking for target. He looks at the ceiling for a target as his brother and sister scamper about in peril. He stares awkwardly at his brother's expression of fear as Lanolee frantically jumps over a rock, but again never takes his gaze away from the back wall. Lanolee begins screaming in way Lanolas never heard before, a true life and death scream. Awkwardly his terrified little brother purposely jumps forward as if dodging something. Lanolee hits the floor, loses his balance, rolls over quickly and begins fleeing once again from the invisible menace terrorizing him. Gradually and helplessly, Lanolas' worried brow lessens as he slowly lowers his bow worrying what he must do to help. Elya and Lanolee begin tiring from their endless dodging ordeal. Suddenly Lanolas' keen senses detect a presence aside him upon the back wall. He slowly turns and focuses his gaze upon the back wall.

The 2010 original "rough cut" release is also available. Humbly apologetic due to my illness at the time, the book was also rushed to print thus containing a few errors. Yet it remains the only version remaining in hard cover.
